The intelligent press interface iControl helps press operators to work more accurate and with higher productivity. During LabelExpo Europe in Brussels this new generation of press control was launched. MPS met very serious and enthusiastic reactions. MPS' ongoing studies learned that innovation in press control and operation gives direct benefits for their customers.
LabelExpo photos are showing the new operation interface, being available on all MPS presslines from now on. iControl comprises an iControl dial button combined with touch screen panels. After touching for the desired machine function, the setting figures are dialled with the button. During operation the operator gets full information from iControl printing station panels while different colours are glowing around the dial button, depending on the press status.
The pressline operation procedure starts on the small and handy touch screen display (left), which shows figures and graphs about machine functions like ‘register length', ‘register width', ‘pressure sleeve', ‘pressure anilox', and general machine settings like speed. When the operator wants to give new setting values, after touching the machine function he dials the button (right) till the setting value is achieved and confirmed.
iControl is the latest intelligent improvement in press setting during this digital age, even exceeding currently known press setting systems. Studies learned that operators feel much more confident with this two-way iControl press-operation combination. Functions are selected on the screen combined with value setting by the dialling button. Operators in the field are saying that ‘iControl improves our confidence, accuracy and performance substantially, thanks to iControl'.
