Two small commercial firms see auctions this week: River St. Press, Aurora, IL shop handled by Martin Auction Services, and Winget Printing, Bushnell, IL, by Cotten Auctions.
DS Graphics, Lowell, MA, purchased an HP Indigo 7000; in August the firm purchased LVI Print Optimization (formerly LaVigne Inc.)
Unimac Graphics, Carlstadt, NJ, received court approval to merge TanaSeybert, New York City. TanySeybert closed its operation in Sept., following a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.
Premedia provider GraphicSource Corp., Skokie, IL, will enter the printing market with purchase of a Screen Truepress 344 direct imaging press. For more>>

Glen Taylor, founder of printing firm Taylor Corp., North Makato, MI, ranked 147th on Forbes richest people list. He was listed as having a net worth of $2.2 billion, down from $3.3 billion in 2008. He is also a majority owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Tenneessee Valley Printing Co. says it consolidated printing operations for three newspapers it owns at its web offset printing plant in Florence, KY.
